Studio portraits are my go to most times. There's no need to worry about the weather, the best hours, the other people that might be on location, how to change outfits and so on. In saying that, there's a certain magic to photographing outdoors. The whimsy lighting of the golden hour , the variety of backdrops - you can have a new one with a simple change in the angle. And lucky for us Perth is a city that has so many amazing locations to choose from. We are also bleesed with great weather most of the year. And sometimes, venturing out of the metropolitan are and taking advantage of other beauties of nature that Western Australia abunds with can be a great choice too.
Here are some of my favourite within Perth meMetro area. They are perfect to be used for family photoshoots. For some fashion brands and maybe for some branding photoshoots if yor business requires a natural, lifetstyle setting.

Kings Park
A favourite of Perth photographers and families, Kings Park is an amazing photoshoot location. Extremely versatile, with spots that are never busy and secluded enough for a more intimate family photoshoot. Also a fun place for photoshoots with young children, it's unlikely they will get bored and you will surely get some beautiful candid shots of them playing and just running around.
You can get their gorgeous backgrounds with Australian Natives and lush floral backdrops if you are going for a floral theme.
Tip: you need a permit, especially if you plan to have a large group attending your photoshoot. So be sure to contact the park administration if you are planning a photoshoot there.
