Brie, the Goddess who bloomed.
Brie and I have known each other for what feels like a lifetime. I have seen her go through stages of life, through stages of loss and grief, through stages of rebirth and growth. Her strengh is a true inspirtion. She is a superwoman who can hold her family’s world on her two very femine shoulders.
When Brie and I met to start planning the shoot, she chose a direction we both loved. It was a beautiful blend of feminine and masculine elements. Strong and confident but magnetic and sexy at the same time. We still kept the concept and you can see the resul in the last images. But in all the years of knowing Brie, I saw how her strengh and power lies in her femininity. She is so caring and warm, she is her daughters rock but she is also a true Mother Goddess who nourishes her family. So I suggested we do some floral themed images. When at home, Brie saught guidance from a Goddess oracle deck she had. And the Goddess on the card she pulled was emerging from a stunning large bloom. She messaged back and shared her vision, ageering to go the floral route. You can see the cards and the process of creating these images HERE.
I got to work right away and crafted some oversized flowers that suited the vision and chose fabric to complete the concepts.
We are both utterly in love with the results. Such a beutiful blend of softness with strench. Raw, vulerable, breathtaking. We have incorporated some elemets of boudoir photography with elements of fine-art, this made the images look femine and raw, while also giving them elegance and artistry.
